The Stations of the Cross consist of 15 stations made of carved alder wood icons, each framed in oak. In addition to the traditional fourteen stations, the set includes a fifteenth dedicated to the Resurrection, so that prayer concludes with Easter joy. The size of one icon with the frame is 37x43x5 cm, making the set harmoniously fit even in a small church or chapel.

Purpose of the Product

The Stations of the Cross are placed along the walls of the church so that the congregation can walk the path of Christ to Golgotha together, stopping for prayer at each image. This service is most often performed on Good Friday, but the faithful come to the stations for personal prayer throughout the year. The price is indicated for one icon, so the parish can order the entire set of 15 icons at once or gradually form it.

Manufacturing Traditions

The icons of the Stations of the Cross are hand-carved by the masters of the creative workshop of sacred products PIVTORAK & COMPANY in Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The Kosiv region has long been famous for its carvers, and this school is felt in the careful processing of each image. All 15 stations are executed in a unified style, so the set looks cohesive, and the oak frames give it completeness.

Care

• Place icons on dry walls, away from moisture and condensation.
• Protect from prolonged direct sunlight.
• Do not hang near heating devices, candlesticks, and open flames.
• Dust the carvings with a soft brush, wipe the frame with a dry soft cloth.
• Occasionally treat the frame with a wood care product, avoiding aggressive chemicals.

Each station as a step of prayer, and the last as the morning of the Resurrection.
