The artistic ceramics of Ivan, the Easter eggs of Ruslana, and the jewelry of Oleksandr are all created from the same inspiration. Their artistic pieces are characterized by exquisite forms, incredibly delicate ornamentation, and noble colors. Traditional crafts in a modern interpretation have a unified aesthetic that originated in one family. Observing the works of the Zakharkivs leaves a taste of all-encompassing love for beauty; each piece evokes pleasure and a pleasant feeling of harmony. This effect of perfect artistic taste has matured in joint work, reflections, and experiences TOGETHER.
At the exhibition, we have the opportunity to observe how Kosiv ceramics, Easter egg painting, and Hutsul metalwork acquire new forms adapted to modern times. It is important that contemporary works retain artistic features that belong to the national and regional artistic tradition.
Ivan Zakharkiv is from the village of Zbora in the Kalush district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ruslana is from the city of Kitsman in Chernivtsi region, and their son Oleksandr received his artistic education in Kosiv, where they chose to live and work. Each in their field has not only mastered the technology of traditional crafts but has also developed them into perfect professional skills, which they successfully pass on to their students.
It is precisely the dedication to their craft, a deep admiration for national artistic traditions, and "related" work in the family circle TOGETHER that is the guarantee of preserving national art and its prospects.
