"Three finials above the altar — like three candles before the Trinity, shining for the community"
This iconostasis was crafted by Pivtorak & Company for the church in the village of Bedrykivtsi. The frame made of alder has a warm walnut tone, while all the carvings — columns, the intricate gates, icon frames, and finials — are executed in ivory color. This combination makes the iconostasis delicate and festive, and against the backdrop of the church's white walls, it appears light, despite the richness of the carving.

About the product
The silhouette of the iconostasis is formed by three figurative finials: a tall central one with a cross and two side ones with radiant crosses. Below them, festive icons are placed in lush carved frames, and in the center — "The Last Supper".
The Royal Gates are made with intricate carving in ivory color with six round medallions of icons. The leaves are separated by a twisted column with a carved finial.
The Deacon Gates have an arched finish and images of archangels in figurative oval frames.
The Icon Row on the edges consists of icons of the Mother of God with Child and Christ with the Gospel in high arched frames, above which stand small crosses.
The twisted columns between the sections have carved capitals and bases, while the lower panels are decorated with a creamy floral ornament.
The cost is calculated per area: from 29,250 UAH per 1 m², the final amount depends on the sizes and complexity of the composition. The manufacturing time is 2 months, depending on complexity.

Advantages of the material
- Alder allows for cutting thin intricate gates and finials with clear details.
- Even texture well accepts both walnut toning of the frame and light covering of the carving.
- Lightweight is important for high finials and gate leaves.
- Two-color solution emphasizes relief: the light carving stands out against the warm wooden background.
Traditions of church carving
The combination of dark wood with light carving is known in Ukrainian churches as a way to give the iconostasis solemnity without gold. Pivtorak & Company develops this technique: in Bedrykivtsi, creamy carving on a walnut background, three finials with crosses, and twisted columns create an image reminiscent of the silhouette of a three-domed church.
Care
- Dust from the carving should be swept away with a soft dry brush.
- Light surfaces should be wiped only with a dry soft cloth.
- Do not use water or cleaning agents.
- Keep candle holders so that soot does not settle on the creamy carving.
- For refreshing the coating, contact the workshop.
