A narrow ribbon woven from thousands of colorful beads is one of the most recognizable symbols of Ukrainian clothing. The necklace and the silanka were born in the Carpathians, where every girl learned from her mother from a young age to read the language of beads: how the row lies, which color follows which, where the diamond is, and where the cross stitch is. In our workshop, this tradition continues manually — a loom, Czech beads, and the patience of the artisan create a piece of jewelry that will outlast many generations.
In the section “Beaded Necklaces and Silankas” — jewelry made using the technique of loom weaving: the tight weaving makes the necklace elastic, and the pattern clear and durable. Each model has its own name and character: from the classic “Ukrainian” to modern colorful compositions.
Types of Jewelry in the Section

Manufacturing Technique
Necklaces and silankas in our workshop are woven on a special loom — loom weaving allows for even tension of the thread and an accurate pattern along the entire length of the product. High-quality Czech beads and a strong Tytan thread, which does not stretch or fray over time, are used. The production time is usually up to 14 days, as each piece is woven individually, not mass-produced.
The Language of Patterns
In bead patterns, as in embroidery, there are no random rows. Diamonds symbolize fertility and kinship, zigzags represent water and the infinity of life, and crosses provide protection. The color palette is also expressive: red symbolizes fire and life, green represents mountains and spring, white stands for purity, and black signifies the nurturing earth.
How to Wear a Necklace
A necklace beautifully complements a vyshyvanka — traditionally or as a stylish accent to modern clothing. It is worn snugly around the neck, sometimes in several rows along with a silanka, creating a rich, festive look. It is also one of the most popular gifts with a national flavor — easy to send and always appropriate.
Care for the Product
Necklaces and silankas do not like moisture and mechanical stretching. Remove the jewelry before sleeping and water activities, and store it in a separate box or pouch to prevent the beads from dulling and snagging on other items.
