HUCUL.if.ua is an online store from Kosiv that has been gathering the works of dozens of masters from Hutsulshchyna under one roof since 2011: from kephtars and bedspreads to brass jewelry, wicker products, and sacred items for the church. We tell you what can be found in the store and which categories to check out first.

Who is a "Hutsul" and why you should buy here

The store hucul.if.ua operates from the city of Kosiv — the heart of Hutsul craftsmanship tradition — since 2011. It is not just one workshop, but a whole network of workshops: here the works of masters who embroider, fur, forge brass, weave bedspreads, weave wicker, and carve wood are united. Instead of searching for each master separately at fairs in Kosiv or on social networks, you can order an authentic item online and receive it via Nova Poshta in any city in Ukraine or abroad.

Most products are handmade and marked with badges "Handmade" and "Made in Ukraine" — this means that the production of complex items, such as kephtars or sardaks, takes time (usually 5–20 days), but in return, the buyer receives a truly unique item, not a mass-produced product.

Hutsul clothing and accessories

The largest section of the store is Hutsul clothing and accessories. This includes kephtars, sardaks, and kozhushky — traditional outerwear made of sheep leather or cashmere fabric, Hutsul postoly, headwear (kresani, scarves), herdans and siljanky made of beads, plahtas, zapaskas, and wrappers, as well as Hutsul cheresi — wide leather belts with metal embellishments.

Workshop "Hutsul Bedspread"

A separate workshop on the site is dedicated to bedspreads — warm woolen blankets woven from natural sheep wool using traditional technologies of Kosivshchyna. The catalog includes blankets made of natural sheep wool, guni, author's bedspreads, as well as classic black and white and bright colored bedspreads — from solid colors to patterned ones with embroidery motifs. They are complemented by runners, pillows, and other textiles in the same style.

Brass workshop and jewelry

Brass workshop is a private project related to the traditional Hutsul craft of metal processing. Here, decorative metal products are made: ducats, zghards, rings, pendants with Hutsul ornaments, as well as the musical instrument drymba (vargan) — a small but recognizable symbol of Carpathian culture.

Leather products and sheep skins

A separate direction is working with leather. Leather belts workshop and Leather House workshop produce belts, and in the section "Leather Products" you can find bags and accessories, welcome addresses, and hunting sets. And if you need the raw material for sewing or restoring products — there is a section for natural sheep skins.

Embroidery, textiles, and fabrics

Workshop "Kosiv Embroidery" specializes in classic Ukrainian embroidery: here you can find men's and women's embroidered shirts, embroidered dresses, delicate embroidery for infants, and baptismal towels. The section is complemented by decorative fabrics (ethnic fabrics, fabric for plahta or towel, jacquard), woven products like tapestries, and home textiles — embroidered and woven tablecloths, runners, table sets.

Wood, wicker, and ceramic products

For home and decor, the store has three large categories. Wooden products include carved nardy and chess, as well as author's creative works of masters. Wicker products impress with their variety — from baskets and lamps to entire furniture sets, rocking chairs, and even children's beds. And in the section ceramic products you can find traditional Kosiv ceramic dishes.

Sacred products and other workshops

For churches and parishes, there is a separate section on the site for sacred purpose products: carved crosses made of wood, processional crosses, church altars, archbishop chairs, kiots, and staffs.

In addition to the listed, there are also other thematic workshops on the site: Hutsul carpets, Hutsul lace, axes and kelevs, "Voronyatko" (leather products), "Ukurikuk" (ethnic embroidery), ATELID, as well as sections for Ukrainian national costumes, pysankarstvo, and Hutsul woolen socks.

Delivery, payment, and returns

The store ships orders across Ukraine via Nova Poshta — usually within 1–3 days after confirmation. Payment can be made cashless on the site or by cash on delivery at the Nova Poshta branch (with a small prepayment). For goods of proper quality, returns or exchanges are available within 14 days provided the product appearance and packaging are preserved — as required by the law of Ukraine "On Consumer Rights Protection".

Are all products on hucul.if.ua handmade?

Most products, especially kephtars, sardaks, bedspreads, brass jewelry, and products made of wood or wicker, are handmade by masters from Kosivshchyna. Such products are marked with badges "Handmade" and "Made in Ukraine" directly on the product page.

How long does it take to make an order?

It depends on the product: simple items (drymbas, jewelry, small textiles) are usually already in stock and are shipped immediately, while complex custom-made products — kephtars, sardaks, author's bedspreads — are made from 5 to 20 days. The exact term is indicated in the description of each product.

Can I order clothing in non-standard sizes?

Yes, for kephtars, sardaks, and belts, you can agree on individual sizes and decoration details directly with the master through the store manager.

How is delivery and payment carried out?

Delivery is via Nova Poshta throughout Ukraine, usually within 1–3 days after order confirmation. Payment can be made cashless on the site (by card, Google Pay, Apple Pay) or by cash on delivery at the Nova Poshta branch with a small prepayment.

Do you ship orders abroad?

Yes, the store ships products abroad — the method of delivery and payment in this case is agreed individually with the manager.

Can I return or exchange a product?

Yes, within 14 days from the date of purchase provided the product appearance, packaging, and invoice are preserved — according to the law of Ukraine "On Consumer Rights Protection".
