Oak reliquary in the shape of a five-domed church with carved icons

Christ with the Chalice on the doors reminds us: here resides the One who is both the Sacrifice and the High Priest.

The carved tabernacle-temple is made of natural oak in the shape of a church with five domes topped with crosses. The side surfaces are adorned with relief-carved icons, among which the image of Christ with the Chalice occupies a central place, while twisted columns, acanthus ornamentation, and a carved base complete the composition. The product is made without gilding, so the beauty of the carving is revealed in the natural warm shade of oak. Two sizes are available: 55x55x105 cm and 75x75x120 cm.

About the Product

The shape of the temple for the tabernacle has a deep meaning: on the altar stands a small house, in which the Lord Himself resides in the Holy Gifts. The five-dome composition, where the central dome symbolizes Christ, and the four smaller ones remind us of the evangelists, is combined with carved icons on the surfaces. The image of Christ with the Chalice is a direct reference to the Eucharist, making it particularly appropriate for the tabernacle. The absence of gilding makes the product modest and noble, while the craftsmanship of the carving becomes the main decoration.

Manufacturing Traditions

The tabernacle is manually created by masters of the creative workshop of sacred products PIVTORAK & COMPANY in Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. A product of this complexity requires many days of careful work: domes, twisted columns, ornamentation, and relief icons are cut from solid oak, after which all elements are assembled into a single harmonious structure. Without gilding, every stroke of the carver remains visible, making this model a true testament to the craftsmanship of the Kosiv school of wood carving.

Care

• Protect the product from moisture, condensation, and sharp temperature fluctuations.
• Do not place near heaters and do not leave under direct sunlight.
• Remove dust from the recesses of the carving with a soft brush, wipe smooth surfaces with a dry soft cloth.
• Periodically treat the wood with oil or a product for caring for oak furniture.
• Do not use aggressive chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials.
