The Stations of the Cross is a set of 14 stations depicting Christ's path to Golgotha and helping the faithful in prayerful reflection on His sufferings. Each station combines a relief carving in alder wood, gilding with gold leaf (mirror gold), and canvas. The size of one station is 1250x800x43 mm, making the set a worthy decoration for the walls of a spacious temple.

Purpose of the product

The Stations of the Cross are placed along the walls of the temple and serve for communal and personal prayerful passage along Christ's path, especially during Lent. Each station is a separate icon, so the set can be ordered in full or gradually, as the indicated price applies to one station. The combination of carved relief, gilding, and canvas creates a deep, expressive image that is easily readable even from a distance.

Manufacturing traditions

Each station is handcrafted by the masters of the creative workshop of sacred products PIVTORAK & COMPANY in Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Relief carving and gilding with gold leaf require patience and precision: the masters gradually form the volume of the image and then cover the details with thin sheets of gold leaf. Thus, the Stations of the Cross are born, combining the ancient technique of carving with a restrained, respectful image of the Passion of Christ.

Care

• Place the stations on dry walls, away from dampness and condensation.
• Protect from prolonged direct sunlight.
• Do not place close to heaters, candle holders, and open flame sources.
• Wipe gilded elements only with a dry soft cloth, without moisture.
• Do not use aggressive chemicals and abrasive cleaning agents.
