Zghardy are one of the oldest chest ornaments of the Hutsul people. Tectonically, it is a complex compositional system that combines one or several rhythmic-plastic rows of various solar signs, strung on "chains," straps, etc., placed at a distance from each other with "overlays" and connected by "cheprags." The compositional center often features a larger equilateral cross that unites all the others, sometimes progressively smaller crosses.
