The chest decoration "Zgharda 014" is one of the oldest Hutsul chest ornaments, made of brass using casting and engraving techniques. The composition combines rhythmic rows of solar symbols that symbolize a connection to ancient tradition.

About the product

Zghardas are among the oldest Hutsul chest ornaments. Compositional-wise, it is a complex system that combines one or several rhythmic-plastic rows of various solar symbols, strung on "chains", straps, etc., placed at a distance of "crossbars" from each other and connected by "cheprags". The compositional center often features a larger equilateral cross that unites all others, sometimes progressively smaller crosses.
