Necklaces are one of the oldest chest ornaments of the Hutsul people. Tectonically, it is a complex compositional system that combines one or several rhythmically plastic rows of various solar signs, strung on "retizky," straps, etc., arranged at a distance of "perelyzhok" and connected by "chepragy." The compositional center is often a larger equilateral cross that unites all the others, sometimes progressively smaller crosses.
