The chest decoration "Zgharda 01" is one of the oldest Hutsul chest ornaments, made of brass using casting and engraving techniques. Its composition combines rhythmically arranged solar signs that have long symbolized protection and connection to tradition.

About the Product

Zghardas are among the oldest Hutsul chest ornaments. In terms of composition, it is a complex system that combines one or several rhythmically plastic rows of various solar signs, strung on "chains" or straps, spaced with "perelyzhky" and connected with "chepragy." The compositional center often features a larger equilateral cross that unites smaller elements around it.
