Zghardy are one of the oldest chest ornaments of the Hutsul people. Tectonically, it is a complex compositional system that unites one or several rhythmically plastic rows of various solar signs, strung on "retizky," straps, etc., placed at a distance from each other by "perelyzhok" and connected by "chepragy." The compositional center is often a larger equilateral cross that unites all the others, sometimes progressively smaller crosses.
