The chest decoration "Zgarda 02" is one of the oldest Hutsul chest ornaments, made of brass using casting and engraving techniques. The composition combines rhythmic rows of solar signs that symbolize a connection to ancient tradition.

About the Product

Zgardas are among the oldest Hutsul chest ornaments. In terms of composition, it is a complex system that combines one or several rhythmic-plastic rows of various solar signs, strung on "retiazky", straps, etc., placed at a distance of "perelyzhok" from each other and connected by "chepragy". The compositional center often features a larger equilateral cross that unites all the others, sometimes smaller crosses.
