Zghardy are one of the oldest chest ornaments of the Hutsuls. Tectonically, it is a complex compositional system that combines one or several rhythmically plastic rows of different solar signs, strung on "retizky," straps, etc., placed at a distance from each other by "perelyzhky" and connected by "chepragy." The compositional center is often a larger equilateral cross that unites all the others, sometimes smaller crosses.
