The rug-throw “Waves of the Prut” is a woolen product, handwoven in the town of Kosiv using traditional Hutsul weaving techniques. The smooth wavy lines combined with rich colors create an effect of movement — the throw seems to “flow” over the furniture, adding dynamics and brightness to the interior.

At the core — wool from sheep grazing in the Carpathian meadows. It is washed, dried, and carded with a special comb into a fluffy ball, then twisted into threads and woven on a traditional loom. The finished product undergoes felting in a “valili” — a wooden tub where a stream of water falls under pressure: within a few hours of rotation, the product becomes tight and fluffy. Finally, the rug is dried on rods and brushed to fluff the wool.
Regular airing in fresh air and vacuuming on low power keep the colors bright. In case of soiling — dry cleaning or careful hand washing in cool water with a delicate wool detergent, without wringing.
