Kephtar is a sleeveless fur coat that has been used by the population of the Carpathians and Precarpathia since ancient times. It is made from sheep leather and decorated with colored leather, wool, tin discs, ear of corn cotton cord, and fur.

Kephtar has significant local variability in terms of length and design techniques. It is characterized by symmetrical placement of decor with a preference for geometric patterns. According to the nature of the decoration, they are divided into Kosiv, Kosmach, Verkhovyna, and Nadvirna styles.
