Keptar is a sleeveless fur coat that has been used by the population of the Carpathians and Prykarpattia since ancient times. It is made from sheep leather and decorated with colored leather, wool, tin discs, ear of corn cotton cord, and fur.

The keptar has significant local variability in terms of length and decoration techniques. It is characterized by symmetrical placement of decor with a preference for geometric patterns. According to the nature of the decoration, they are divided into Kosiv, Kosmach, Verkhovyna, and Nadvirna styles.
