Hutsul kraika is a traditional Ukrainian fabric made in the Carpathians, distinguished by its uniqueness and the craftsmanship of handwork. The kraika is made from natural fibers such as wool or linen, which ensures its strength and durability.
A typical Hutsul kraika features bright colors and intricate patterns that often reflect local natural motifs, folkloric symbols, and traditional twists. Geometric patterns often adorn the kraika, giving it a special ethnic charm.
The dimensions of the kraika can vary, but they usually measure 7 cm in width and 1-2 m in length. The kraika is used not only as a clothing element but also as decor for homes, as well as in folk art. Due to its flexibility, the kraika can serve various roles – from a belt to a decoration for furniture.
The Hutsul kraika is a symbol of the cultural heritage and craftsmanship of the Ukrainian people, carefully preserved and passed down through generations.
The kraika is woven for embroidered shirts and sashes. Handwork, weaving, natural wool or acrylic threads. Width 7 cm, length by order. Orders from 10 m.
