The base of the decoration is a combination of melchior and brass. The work begins with marking and cutting the links, then the metal is engraved, and individual elements are joined by soldering with hard solders: such a seam is stronger than mechanical fastening and does not weaken over time. The process is completed by hand assembly — the master collects the links into a single composition, checking how the decoration will lie on the chest. The length can be adjusted, so “Zhardy 3” fits equally well under the collar of an embroidered shirt and on an open neckline of a dress.

In “Zhardy 3,” the masters of the Mosyazhna workshop have reinterpreted this form: instead of a heavy row of crosses — a light lace rhythm of links, in which the old Hutsul plasticity is recognizable, but which also suits modern clothing.
