Ivan Zakharkiv
Zakharkiv Ivan Mykhailovych was born on October 31, 1968, in the village of Zbora, Kalush district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. From 1984 to 1988, he studied at the Kosiv College of Applied and Decorative Arts named after V. I. Kasyan in the department of artistic ceramics.
From 1992 to 1997, he studied at the South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, specializing in "Fine Arts, Drawing".
He began his professional career in 1991 as a master of vocational training at the Kosiv College of Applied and Decorative Arts. He also worked part-time as a lecturer in material work, composition, technology of artistic ceramics, and the subject "Art of Typography". Currently, he holds the position of master of vocational training at the KDIAPDM LNAM.
Throughout his teaching career, he has repeatedly been the supervisor of diploma projects for students at the Kosiv College of Applied Arts.
He works in the field of artistic ceramics (traditional painted Hutsul ceramics, experimental ceramics). He constantly works on his professional self-improvement and enhances his professional qualifications in gypsum modeling and slip casting.
During his time at the educational institution, he implements the most effective forms and methods of work into the educational process. He has completed a number of creative works. He actively participated in the scientific-practical conference "Ceramics of Hutsulshchyna as a Phenomenon in Folk Art" and the scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Oleksa Bakhmatiuk's birth. He has been a participant in many group exhibitions of Hutsul ceramic artists.
Through his creative work, he makes a significant contribution to the process of reviving and preserving the traditions of Hutsul painted ceramics.
