Bogdan Mykhailovych DILETA
Bogdan Mykhailovych DILETA – a master of artistic wood processing, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1995), a member of the board of the Kosiv regional organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
He was born on October 16, 1957, in the village of Hruska, Otyniya district (now Tlumach district) of Ivano-Frankivsk region. A graduate of the Kosiv College of Folk Arts (1982). His teachers in the field were: V. Havrysh, M. Fedirko, O. Solomchenko.
He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute (1990). He worked at the enterprises of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in Kosiv; since 2005, he has been a lecturer at the Kosiv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts.
In 2007, he defended his master's thesis at the Department of Artistic Wood at the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
He has participated in all-Ukrainian art exhibitions since 1994. He works in the field of decorative and applied arts (artistic wood processing). He is reviving Hutsul folk furniture-making.
Among his works are carved boxes, plates, drink sets, furniture, and chess. Major works include: ethnodesign and the production of exclusive furniture; designing and manufacturing wooden interior furnishings for sacred buildings, including the iconostasis of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UGCC in Kolomyia (2012).
