The blanket “Starry Night over Kosovo” is a wool product, handwoven in the town of Kosovo using traditional Hutsul weaving techniques. The rhythmic starry pattern gives the product a calm, “nighttime” character — a wonderful choice for a bedroom or living room, where you want to feel coziness and warmth even on the coldest evenings.

At the core — wool from sheep grazing in the Carpathian meadows. It is washed, dried, and carded with a special comb into a fluffy ball, resembling a cloud, then twisted into yarn and woven on a traditional loom. The finished product undergoes felting in a “valila” — a wooden tub, where a stream of water falls under pressure: after a few hours of rotation, the product becomes tight and fluffy. Finally, the blanket is dried on rods and brushed to fluff up the wool.
By the ornament, an experienced eye could recognize the master’s native village: in Yavoriv, for example, they weave crooked, parquet, rainbow, and plum patterns — each with its own centuries-old history.
Regular airing in fresh air and vacuuming on low power keep the wool fluffy. In case of soiling — dry cleaning or careful hand washing in cool water with a delicate wool detergent, without wringing. Dry horizontally, away from heating batteries.
