Birth of the Rug

The wool of Carpathian sheep is washed, dried, and carded with a special comb — this forms a fluffy ball from which threads for the loom are spun. The finished fabric goes into the "valilo": a powerful stream of water twists the fabric for several hours, making it tight and fluffy. After this, the rug is dried on poles and brushed for softness.

Care

Air out in fresh air once a season, avoiding direct sunlight.

Clean using a dry method or delicate hand washing in cool water.

Dry in a flattened state, away from heating batteries.
