Workshop of Woven Clothing is a Hutsul family workshop in the town of Kosivin the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where traditional Carpathian clothing is created by hand on a loom. We continue the craft that has been passed down in Hutsul families from generationto generation, putting it into every shirt and blouse that comes from our hands.

Hutsul Woven Clothing: A Living Tradition of the Carpathians

Hutsuls are an ethnic group that has historically lived in the Carpathians in western Ukraine and has preserved a unique culture closely connected to the nature of the mountains. Woven clothing is one of the most vivid embodiments of this culture: the patterns, embroidery, and color palette carry symbolism understood only by those who grew up among these traditions. It is not just clothing, but a way to tell about one’s lineage and land without a single word.

About Our Workshop

In our workshop, woven clothing is created by hand on a loom — just as Hutsul artisans have done for centuries. We use natural materials, adhere to traditional weaving techniques in the town of Kosiv, and pay attention to every detail — from selecting threads to the final processing of the product.

What You Will Find in Our Workshop

Currently, our specialization is woven blouses and men's shirts, made in authentic Hutsul style. Each item is a unique handmade product, so you will not find two completely identical shirts.
