It is impossible to imagine the national costume of a Hutsul without the famous Hutsul belt. The belt in the clothing of the Carpathian men plays a special role; it is an assistant in the hard work of lumberjacks and raftsmen, and it also adorns clothing on festive days. Such a belt is very functional, and its use is revealed in everyday life.
The belt is made of leather, handcrafted from natural leather, using techniques of embossing and metal brass rivets. Thanks to the buckles, the size of the belt can be adjusted. Most Hutsul belts have several pockets where one can place a knife, a pipe, or money.
For making belts, Carpathian masters use only the highest quality leather, and the fittings for the product are among the best, which results in a high-quality and artistically valuable item. This belt is an excellent example of folk art and craftsmanship, which is evident in every detail.
Size 21-30x90-120 cm. Leather, weaving, hand embossing. Color brown. Execution time 1 month.
