It is no secret that Ukraine has many intellectuals who simply adore logical games. Perhaps that is why chess and backgammon are particularly popular here. It is doubly pleasant to play not only for the soul and mind but also for the sense of beauty, as all the pieces are handmade with excellent carving, providing simply incredible tactile sensations. To make the board and pieces as functional as possible, metal and other fittings are used in their creation. The inner side of the board is decorated with a special carving necessary for playing backgammon, while the outer side is prepared for playing chess. The pieces and chips are covered with varnish, and their bases are lined with velvet circles, each with a diameter of 4 cm. This is done to ensure that the polished surface of the varnished board is not damaged by the pieces.

The board in open form measures 50x50 cm and is made from the same materials as the pieces, with one difference: it is inlaid with copper and beads.

The chess pieces made in Cossack style, produced from natural wood, specifically walnut, have the following heights: Cossack - 10 cm; Church - 10.5 cm; Centurion - 11 cm; Cossack on horseback - 11.5 cm; Queen - 12.5 cm; and Hetman - 13 cm.
