Minankari (from Persian mina — "heavenly blue") is a hot enamel technique that jewelers in Georgia, Armenia, and Persia have used for over a thousand years. The master applies powdered enamel to a metal base and fires it in a furnace at temperatures up to 800 °C. During firing, the enamel transforms into a glass-like surface with an incredibly deep, "living" color that does not fade for decades.
In Ukraine, minankari is rare. The masters of the Mosyazhna workshop in Kosiv are among the few who possess this technique at a high level. It is precisely minankari that gives "The seed of quince" its bright, rich yellow-green glow, which is hard to look away from.
🔶 Cast brass "Pandora" (Italy). An alloy of copper with zinc, which, unlike cheap jewelry with galvanic coating, is cast solidly. This means that the metal will not "peel" over time and does not contain harmful heavy metals. If the brass tarnishes — it can easily be restored by simply rubbing it with a coarse cloth (denim, felt).
