The hand cross 91 conveys the scene of the Crucifixion in a restrained, almost archaic manner — without excessive detailing, only the expressive silhouette of the figures in a geometric frame. Nearby, the master left a carved date, which seems to fix the moment when the eternal scene was once again embodied in wood.

The image of the Crucifixion is carved here in a restrained, stylized manner: the figures are conveyed with generalized geometric lines, without detailed rendering of features. Above the composition, the master placed a toothed ornament resembling a crown, and below it — a carved date and a strip with a checkered border. The shaft of the cross smoothly narrows to a simple smooth handle. The height of the product is 30 cm.

The stylized, archaic manner of carving is one of the signatures preserved by the masters of the "HUCUL MASTER'S WORKSHOP OF CROSSES" in the town of Kosiv, referring to the most ancient techniques of folk carving, where the main goal was not to detail but to capture the essence of the image with a few precise lines.
