The sheep wool is first washed, dried, and carded with a special comb until a fluffy ball is formed, from which threads for the loom are then spun. The woven fabric is immersed in "valila" — there, a powerful stream of water rotates the fabric for several hours, making it tight and dense. Such a rug is especially well "felted" in warm water during the summer, after which it is dried on rods and brushed.

Care

Air out in fresh air once a season, avoiding direct sunlight.

Clean with a dry method or gentle hand washing in cool water.

Dry in a laid-out form, away from heating batteries.
