The carpet “Seven Colors of the Carpathians” is a woolen product, handwoven in the town of Kosiv using traditional techniques of Hutsul carpet weaving. The rich multicolored composition resembles a rainbow over the meadow — a bright, cheerful accent that will warm both the home and the mood.

At the core — wool from sheep grazing on the Carpathian meadows. It is washed, dried, and carded with a special comb, forming a fluffy ball resembling a cloud. The carded wool is easily twisted into threads, which are woven into carpets on traditional looms. By the pattern, an experienced eye could recognize in which village the product was made: in Yavoriv, for example, they weave crooked, parquet, rainbow, and plum patterns.
The new product goes into the “valilo” — a large wooden tub where a stream of water falls under pressure. In this whirlpool, the carpet “rolls” for several hours until it becomes tight and fluffy. Finally, it is dried on rods and brushed with a brush.
Regular airing in fresh air and vacuuming at low power keep the colors bright. In case of contamination — dry cleaning or careful hand washing in cool water with a gentle wool detergent, without wringing. Dry horizontally, away from heating batteries.
