Sarдак is a type of shoulder garment with sleeves made from red and black cloth, of tunic-like cut. It is decorated along the collar, hems, skirt, and sleeve edges with twisted cord in the form of appliqué or knots (pompoms). The sarдак has small slits or wedges on the sides, straight, quite wide sleeves, and a low standing or laid collar. Men's sardaks are shorter than women's.
