Kephtar is a sleeveless fur coat that has been used by the population of the Carpathians and Precarpathia since ancient times.

It is made from sheep skin and is adorned with colored leather, wool, tin discs, ear of corn cotton cord, and fur.
Kephtar has significant local variability in terms of length and design techniques.

It is characterized by symmetrical placement of decor with a preference for geometric patterns. The decorations are classified into Kosiv, Kosmach, Verkhovyna, and Nadvirna styles.
