Ivanna Kozak-Dileta
Ivanna Kozak-Dileta — preservation and development of the traditions of Kosiv ceramics.
Ivanna Kozak-Dileta is a master of Kosiv ceramics who combines deep knowledge of traditional art with a modern vision. Her creativity embodies the authenticity, beauty of Hutsul culture, and craftsmanship that is passed down from generation to generation.
Born and raised in a region where ceramics are not just a craft but a part of the cultural code, Ivanna has been fascinated by the ornaments, shapes, and techniques of Hutsul ceramics since childhood. After completing her professional artistic education, she dedicated herself to the preservation and popularization of Kosiv ceramic painting — a unique technique that has been included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
In her workshop, Ivanna creates decorative and utility items: plates, jugs, pitchers, candle holders, and other household elements, decorated with traditional Hutsul ornaments. She uses classic techniques: relief engraving, underglaze painting, and special natural dyes that give the products their characteristic yellow-green-brown coloring.
In addition to making ceramics, Ivanna actively conducts workshops, participates in exhibitions and folk art festivals, teaches young people the basics of traditional ceramics, and implements cultural and educational projects aimed at preserving Hutsul heritage. Her works are kept in private collections in Ukraine and abroad, and are also exhibited in folk art museums.
Each of Ivanna's creations is a story embodied in clay, inspired by the Carpathians and the Hutsul soul.
